Reparations Club is an independently Black-owned and operated business. Our small team works tirelessly to make sure you have the best customer experience possible, both online and IRL—our loyal customers and their 5-star reviews (except for this one guy...) can attest to that! That said, sometimes things happen that are beyond our control. If you have any issues at all, just let us know and we will do our best to make it right. Here are answers to some of our customers’ Frequently Asked Questions. Have another question? Do you ship orders outside of Los Angeles?

Yes! We ship anywhere in the U.S.! If you're outside of the U.S., get in touch for a shipping quote! Unfortunately, we haven't had the bandwidth for International orders at this time, but we are working on it!

How much does shipping cost? 

Shipping shipping fees are calculated at checkout, based on weight and destination. Most books ship at a flat rate of $3.99 via USPS Media Mail.

Large bulk orders placed online may be subject to additional shipping costs, especially if the needed delivery time is less than one week away. For orders placed with at least 1-2 weeks of notice, we can generally offer free shipping. Please share as much information as possible in the notes field when you place your order. We'll reach out to you once the order is placed, to discuss further!

When will I receive my order?

Shipping times depend on your location and shipping method. Orders are processed Tuesday through Saturday, typically within 1-3 business days, and current shipping estimates are as follows:

- (Priority) USPS Priority Mail: 1-3 business days

- (Economy) USPS Media Mail: (West Coast) 2-5 business days (avg. 3 days)

- (Economy) USPS Media Mail: (Rest of US) 3-10 business days (avg. 5 days)

All orders will receive shipping confirmation and tracking numbers with up-to-date delivery info.

 

Where is my pre-order or back-order item?

All pre-orders are shipped by their release dates. Release dates are subject to change by the publisher. If you have any questions, hit us up.

Back-order and pre-order titles will ship upon their release or re-stock date, as noted on their respective product page/title. Sometimes, publishers change these release dates. These changes apply to ALL retailers, and may in turn delay your order. If you have not received a pre-order, please check the product page or contact us for the most up-to-date information.

Any additional titles in your order will ship in accordance with that date, not separately, unless you request it and separate shipping ($3.99 per shipment) is paid. If you'd like your in-stock titles sooner, please place a separate order.

Back-ordered titles are typically shipped within (or sooner than) the back-order date listed at checkout. If no date is specified, it may take up to 90 days to restock backordered titles for fulfillment. If your pending backorder has not yet shipped, you can cancel an unfilled backorder for a refund at any time during that 90 day window by contacting us.

Can I pick-up my order in person?

Of course! Please select 'Local Pickup' as your shipping method at checkout, which will waive any shipping fees.

 

Can I get a refund for a ticket I bought to an event?

I'm looking for an item I saw in-store that's not listed on your website.

Shoot us an email! We have a limited selection of our inventory available online. If you're looking for something specific, we'd be more than happy to ship it to you!

 

Can I order or pre-order a book that's not on your website?

Yes! Submit a Title Request or email us the name/author or ISBN of just about any title you're looking for and we can usually get it for you! Alternatively, you can order directly through our partner site, Bookshop.org, which also helps support our business.

 

Do you sell audio books? 

Yes! We have partnered with Libro.fm and Bookshop.org for all audio books sales. We receive a commission on any purchase or subscription made through our partners that continues to meaningfully support our business!

 

I'm looking for large print titles—can I order through you?

Heck yeah! If a large print edition is available from the publisher, we'd be more than happy to order for you! Just email or call!

 

Do you offer bulk orders for schools, book clubs, events, gifting, etc.?  

We would love to assist with your bulk order and can get you as many copies as you'd like! If interested in a bulk order, please use the instructions for how to submit your order that live on our Contact page. Please note that bulk orders are not returnable.  

Can you recommend or curate a collection of books for me?

Absolutely. Please use the instructions from our Contact page, sharing as much information as possible to help us. We're expert booksellers and are always happy to recommend titles that fit your needs. Just note that if your request requires us to spend above average time on curation or research, there may be a fee associated.
