Ellie Foumbi is an award-winning Cameroonian American filmmaker. Her debut feature film, Our Father, the Devil, premiered at the Venice Film Festival. It went on to screen at over fifty international film festivals, winning several awards, including the Audience Award at the Tribeca Film Festival. The film received universal critical acclaim, including an Independent Spirit Award and a Gotham Award nomination. She's an alumna of Berlinale Talents and a BAFTA Breakthrough USA Fellow. Ellie was also named one of 25 New Faces of Independent Film by Filmmaker Magazine. She’s currently in post-production with her sophomore film, Fleur.
